We (Vicky and Michelle) have worked together now for many years and we are excited to welcome new clients and those we have met before.

Not only are we true animal lovers, we enjoy being able to help you understand the health of your dog and have a chance to ask questions in a private space.

Hi, I'm Michelle Lingard BVSc, MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from Sydney University in 1987 and then worked for 4 years in a large equine veterinary clinic called Randwick Equine Centre in Sydney. We looked after most of the racehorses and many pleasure horses in Sydney. After that, I worked in small animal practices around Sydney.

My late husband Mark, and I, headed to the UK to set up Moy Farm Veterinary Centre in 1992.

Moy Farm Veterinary Centre was built on the site of the family sheep shed in Out Rawcliffe and has grown from there! In 1999 we bought the Animal Medical Centre in Thornton Cleveleys.

A new, purpose-built site in Hambleton followed, and the those sites became Moy Vets in Hambleton & Thornton-Cleveleys. Moy Vets changed ownership and became part of IVC in 2019.

I have been involved with our hip and elbow scoring service for over 30 years since it was started by my late husband Mark Lingard.

Since 2019 I have concentrated solely on providing an excellent hip and elbow scoring service to our wonderful clients, who travel to visit us and trust us with their dogs.

Lancashire Hip Scores has been created to allow this excellent hip and elbow scoring service to continue in proudly independent hands again.

I spend my leisure time as a qualified APPI physiotherapy led Pilates and reformer teacher. I enjoy long-distance cycling and fell walks and visiting my two adult children.

Hi, I'm Vicky Foster BSc (Hons) RVN

Veterinary Nurse

I have worked in the veterinary industry since 1999 and completed my nurse training at Moy Vets.

Before this I completed a Degree in Equine Science at Hartpury College during which I completed a 1 year work placement at Moy Vets.

I have always been interested in diagnostic imaging, so have worked very closely with the late Mark Lingard and Michelle Lingard in their hip and elbow score clinics. I absolutely love to see the many different breeds of dogs that come through the clinic.

I am a dairy farmer’s wife with a young son, so when I'm not at work I am kept very busy keeping up with Ernie, and helping with everything on the farm!
